Who we are and our mission

Provision in the Community is an organisation that is designed to aid and support children, governing bodies and parents. Our aim is to support child who may be disengaged and have a lack of confidence. Provision’s aim is to offer a safe and secure learning environment, as we believe that every child given the opportunity and time can learn the skills needed to be successful in life. Provision in the community achieves this goal by running successful HAF camps, Winter, Easter, Summer, after school clubs as well as an alternative provision that offers different educational paths for those who may struggle in mainstream.  The HAF camps encourage children to develop beneficial life skills such as confidence, social skills and living a healthy lifestyle in a friendly and pressure free environment, with a focus on sport and fun

HAF

School’s Out! is the name for Kirklees’ Holiday Activities and Food programme. The offer supports benefits related free school meal eligible children and young people during the April, Summer and December school holidays.

Provision in the Community offer four hours of enrichment activities and a healthy nutritious meal for eligible children aged 8-12. We run these multi sport camps at 6 venues across Kirklees throughout the school holiday periods.

This Summer we ran our first 12+ provision on the Windy Bank Estate.  This was very successful and we saw the number of children attending increase on a daily basis.

We can also offer low-cost paid for places for children and young people not eligible for benefits related free school meals.  These children also have lunch provided.
